Britney Spears' father has been named permanent conservator over his daughter

Jamie Spears will have complete control over his daughter's affairs, and was also named co-conservator of her estate with attorney Andrew Wallet.
In the open court, Britney's court-appointed lawyer Samuel Ingham revealed it was what the Womanizer singer wanted.
He said: "I've met several times with Britney and she requested that I not object to the permanent conservatorship."
Judge Reva Goetz told the court that the permanent conservatorship was "necessary and appropriate" in this situation.
However a mental health lawyer has claimed that this permanent control may not be forever. Terry K. Wasserman told People magazine:
"People shouldn't read too much into the word 'permanent. In many cases it's just a formality to avoid having to renew a temporary status over and over again."
"Ms. Spears can regain control of life anytime - as long as hr doctors feel she's able to manage her own affairs. But today's ruling shows that Ms. Spears doesn't object to her father's control, that she agrees with it, and most importantly, that she's making improvement," Wasserman explained.
