Alex Rodriguez just days before confirming she was getting a divorce, according to US reports.
Baseball great 'A-Rod' Rodriguez's own marriage ended in part because of his wife Cynthia's beliefs her husband was too close to the Material Girl.
And even though public reports of her relationship with A-Rod led to the biggest crisis in her own marriage this summer, the stars have continued to see each other, according to the reports.
And they are even said to have discussed going into business together, opening their own chain of gyms.
He even attended Yom Kippur services with her and her three children in Times Square last week - sans "Snatch" director Ritchie.
In late July, even as she was denying an affair with A-Rod, Madonna visited him at his summer getaway, a pricey rental house in New York, sources told the New York Post.
And just last week ARod went with Madonna and her three children to a Yom Kippur service in Times Square last week without Madonna's husband, "Snatch" director Ritchie.
Just days later Madonna and Guy finally confirmed they were getting a divorce.
"Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after 71/2 years of marriage, their representatives confirmed today," read a statement issued by Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, and Ritchie's flack, Patrick Keegan. "They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time."
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "A-Rod and Madonna are more involved than eve."
The source added that the two "are definitely romantic". "Alex has really missed spending time with Madonna. However, he understands the position Madonna's in," the source told US Weekly. "Madonna wanted to finish her world tour before divorcing."
Initial reports that A-Rod was making secret late-night visits to Madonna led to Guy flying to New York for crisis meetings.
The also turned to spiritual guidance to try to help them as their problems just continued.
"Things got to a breaking point about a month ago," an insider told the New York Post. And they did an intensive, two-week kabbalah course. That didn't work."
Rodriguez's spokesman, Richard Rubenstein, would not comment when asked whether A-Rod had played a role in busting up Madonna's marriage.
Now A-Rod has been seeing a Kabbalah bracelet and going to meetings.
