HEATHER MILLS has defended her decision to build a swimming pool without planning permission at her English country home - by claiming it could be used to put out fires.

The ex-wife of rocker Sir Paul McCartney allegedly revamped her property in Sussex, England after winning $38 million (24.3 million) in their divorce settlement earlier this year (08).

The former glamour model was said to have forgotten to ask for planning permission before building the pool - and may now have to get rid of it if her retrospective request is denied.

Members of Mills' local council will meet next month (Dec08) to debate whether she can keep the feature.

However her spokesperson has argued local services could use it to battle fires, saying, "In an emergency, it could be used by the fire brigade (to put out a blaze)."

this woman thinks shes above everything and anything. Rules are there for a reason, why should she be any different to anyone else. IF she gets away with it, maybe we could all club together and give some money for someone else to do the same thing, i some how dont think THEY would get away with it. Maybe its worth a go though. What does anyone think? Would make great headlines too.....One rule for one and One for everyone else.

it could also be used for amphibious spacecraft to land in or to breed dolphins. Where does she get off, the rules are there for everyone but obviously this old slapper thinks they don't apply to her. Lets hope Sussex council make her get rid of it, and if she doesn't like it go and live in America where she stands more chance of fooling the people.She should also leave the kiddy with Paul who knows how to bring up a family.

I don't think anyone has the right to comment unless they lived under the same house as the two of them. People react on other peoples gossip. It takes two to make or break a marriage so I would say they are both at fault. Heather the best for you is to just stay out of the limelight as everytime you do go on TV to try defend yourself you make a complete hash of it, get on with your life for the sake of your daughter and Paul's children. Marriage breakup usually harms the children more than the adults. Try and stay friends for the sake of the children.

This vamp would start the fire purely for the media attention. Then do another breakdown on live TV appearance to try to ramp up the sympathy. Poor Heather, she can't do anything without the Media grabbing hold of it and ridiculing her. I rather like, and feel for her. She was married to a total control FREEEEEEK and nobody seems to realise what n who he REALLY is.
