Wood heads home for marriage crisis talks

LATEST: ROLLING STONES star RONNIE WOOD has flown back to the U.K. in an attempt to save his marriage, according to reports.
Wood was rumoured to have left his wife, Jo, for 20-year-old Russian waitress Ekaterina Ivanova and whisked her away on a romantic trip to Ireland last week (beg07Jul08).
He also reportedly declared that his marriage had been "dead for five years" - and his wife allegedly called time on their 23-year relationship.
But Wood is now refusing to accept that his marriage is over and flew back to England on Tuesday (15Jul08) to talk through the situation with his son, Jesse.
A friend of the rocker tells British publication The Sun, "Jesse is at his side and he's going to make sure his dad is ok.
"He is a confidant and friend and just wants his dad well."
And while wife Jo is relieved that Wood is back in England and talking with his son, she is reportedly doubtful that they can patch things up until he stops drinking.
A friend of Jo tells another British newspaper, the Daily Star, "All she is focused on right now is doing anything she can to get him sober. She is not worried about his so-called relationship with this girl.
"One thing Ronnie isn't is a philanderer. They may not have had the most conventional marriage but it is a strong one. Everyone is just hoping he'll sober up and see sense."
