Eddie Murphy has put his relationship with Scary Spice Mel B in jeopardy after he was reportedly spotted on a date with another woman.

According to US reports the Hollywood superstar was seen cosying up to Tracey Edmonds in a romantic Los Angeles restaurant at the weekend.

The New York Post writes: "On Saturday, he took Tracey Edmonds - Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds' ex-wife - to dinner at the Lodge restaurant on La Cienega in Los Angeles.


"The two had steaks and chatted into the night at the dimly lit eatery."

It comes after reports the singer will marry four-months pregnant Mel, 31, later this month in a star-studded ceremony. Mel, real name Melanie Brown, moved to LA three years ago after failing as an actress in Britain.

Murphy, 45, has struggled to find work despite once earning £10 million a time for hits like Beverly Hills Cop and The Nutty Professor.

His divorce from ex-wife Nicole only came through in April.

It will be Mel's second marriage. She split with dancer Jimmy Gulzar after 15 months in 2000 and has a seven-year-old daughter. A spokesman for Murphy did not comment.
