Brad Pitt has cancelled his wedding - well, the fake wedding planned for him by Madame Tussauds. The star took offence after the Las Vegas-based museum planned a to hold a wedding ceremony between wax work figures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie And he demanded that the museum call off the stunt - which would have seen a wax figure of George Clooney play he part of best man. Instead the museum will now unveil a new statue of Angelina Jolie. Madam Tussauds manager Adrian Jones said: "After we announced our intentions to create what could be one of Hollywood's biggest weddings, we were contacted by representatives of Brad Pitt who expressed disappointment with our idea. "Since Madame Tussauds enjoys excellent relationships with the celebrity community, we made our own decision not to create the wedding scene. "We will unveil the new Angelina Jolie wax figure on schedule, as she has been the most requested female figure, and we do not want to disappoint our guests and her many fans." Pitt is currently in India with Jolie and their three children whiles she is shooting scenes for her new film. She plays the Mariane Pearl - the wife of murdered journalist Daniel Pearl who was slain in Pakistan. Jolie and Pitt, accompanied by their three children _ Maddox, 5, 18-month-old Zahara and 5-month-old Shiloh Nouvel arrived in Mumbai Saturday from the western Indian city Pune where they were shooting the movie for nearly a month. The movie is based on an adaptation of Mariane Pearl's book, "A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl." |
