The troubled singer, who has publicly battled substance abuse, was driven to the hospital in an ambulance on Friday after falling ill at her holiday home on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.

Winehouse was discharged later that night - but insiders fear her deteriorating health will leave her unable to perform at a London concert scheduled for later this month.

A source tells The Sun, "Amy's gig might as well be cancelled now. She's not going to make it. It's not worth her while - even if she does make it, it will be a shambles.

"She is not ready for it and she proved it at the festival."

Winehouse sought medical attention last month after she fainted in her villa, which her spokesperson maintained was the result of dehydration. Days later, she took to the stage at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival for her first performance in eight months - but was forced to abandon her set after a downpour.

Critics later reported she was drunk on stage and forgot the words to her songs. Winehouse was previously hospitalised in St. Lucia in February with a rep for the star insisting she fell ill after running out of medication she had been using to help her battle against drugs.
