The 62-year-old singer appeared on U.S. TV last night and told David Letterman that she hasn't yet had time to see the film, which is loosely based on her career with Motown group 'The Supremes.' "I have not seen it," Ross said of the film. "I didn't see the musical either. I've heard a lot about it and I'm going to see it with my lawyers." The film won a Golden Globe on Monday for best musical or comedy. It tells the story of a Motown trio like the Supremes and their rise to fame. Eddie Murphy won a gong for best supporting actor in the film and newcomer Jennifer Hudson won for best supporting actress. Ross added: "I think what has been said to me is that there is a lot of my image and likeness in the movie." She was on the Late Show to promote her new C.D. 'I Love You.' Ross said she plans to tour in Europe later in the year after she has appeared on American Idol as a mentor and finished her U.S. dates scheduled for March and April. |
