Pink has revealed why her ex-husband is in the music video

The 29-year-old singer told MTV's TRL: "I thought it was only right for him to be there to defend himself."

In Pink's autobiographical track 'So What', the star sings about her divorce from professional motocross racer Carey Hart.

In the video Hart makes a number of cameos including a scene where him and Pink are talking as newspaper headlines flash behind them.

Pink and Carey Hart's separation was confirmed by her publicist, Michele Schweitzer in February 2008.

"The decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another," said Schweitzer.

The pair married in Costa Rica in January 2006 after they met at the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia.

Pink gained prominence in 2000, when her first single 'There You Go' became a worldwide smash.

Since that early success Pink has gone on to sell millions of records with hit songs such as 'Get The Party Started' and 'Just Like a Pill'.

Her fifth album, 'Funhouse' has just been released and is expected to chart high in the UK and US.
