Annie Lennox blasts 'vile' music industry

Former EURYTHMICS star ANNIE LENNOX finds it difficult to trust people in the music industry - after experiencing how "vile" executives in the business can be.
 
Lennox has found worldwide success as a singer, selling more than 80 million records during her career - but she has found herself repulsed by many elements of the industry after witnessing widespread corruption firsthand.
 
She says, "The music industry is a bloody nightmare. The eggs, the slightly criminal elements, the betrayers, the ones who want to screw you, the ones who were in it for this, that or the other.
 
"Sometimes I've been so shocked at how vile somebody has been. But you just have to let it go, otherwise it could drive you mad."
